Lisa North Photography captures people and animals in their best light. Laughing with your family, playing with your dog in our friendly studio or capturing your horse’s personality whilst it’s relaxing in your field; I focus in framing the true nature of whomever (or whatever) is in front of my lens!
And … relax!
Portrait photography works best when personalities shine through, and my main objective is to ensure you and yours have a fabulous time. It’s normal to worry you may not look like a runway model, or your children are shy or be concerned about animal accidents. I have years of experience working with huge horses and tiny ponies , timid animals, individuals or family groups including pouting teens and boisterous toddlers!. Nothing fazes me (except spiders) and it’s my job to ensure your shoot is a relaxed and enjoyable experience so I capture true character, and you receive a portrait to cherish.

Both Lisa and Kay joined us for our wedding day and were the perfect combination, working effortlessly together. Their professionalism was impeccable and they knew exactly when to step forwards, or when to simply allow the moment to unfold. I felt supported by them both, and Lisa was excellent at communicating throughout the day and helping to work around any hiccups. I had a few sneak peeks the very next day to update friends and family who had been unable to join us, which were stunning and captured us beautifully. Linda Reed5 StarI took my cocker spaniel to Lisa’s charity photo shoot. I had reservations as he is a typical excitable spaniel. Lisa was brilliant. We had a wonderful time. The images she captured are beautiful. The hardest part was deciding on the image to have printed. No pressure from Lisa on purchasing anything extra. Can’t wait for the framed photo we eventually decided on. If you have ever thought about having your dogs professionally photographed don’t hesitate in going to see Lisa. Tina Blythe5 StarI wanted to have some professional photos of our two dogs. I had seen some of Lisa's work at the Dog Daycare where my dogs go and the detail in her photos looked amazing. I decided to have the photo shoot at Lisa's studio; she clearly loves animals, she let them run about and sniff everything so that they were relaxed by the time she started taking the photos. I've now got some fantastic pictures of our gorgeous dogs (it was a Christmas present for my husband who couldn't speak for filling up!) Martyn Dutfield5 StarLisa North Photography did a framed wall art portrait of our beloved dog, Max, as a surprise Christmas gift for my husband. The framed portrait features three photos of Max which are mounted in such a way as to make them appear more lifelike than I ever thought possible. Lisa has a great rapport with animals, which was hugely evident with the "sittings" conducted with Max. Nothing was too much trouble for Lisa, both in terms of providing the different selection of "shots", to even bringing the portrait to our house whilst my husband was out, so we could hide it ready for Christmas. The portrait now holds pride of place in our dining room and is remarked on by everyone who sees it.
The quality of Lisa's photos is definitely something to admire, and I would not hesitate in recommending her to friends and family. A truly wonderful experience and product from start to finish!Monday 10th February 2020
Kelly Osborne5 StarWe took our two dogs to Lisa for their canine shoot. Lisa was so professional. She delt with the chaos that tends to come with them very well. She took some amazing photos and it proved extremely difficult to choose which to have printed.
The hospitality after the shoot was excellent. Lisa allowed us to view all the photos she took, at a time convenient for us and didn't rush us in choosing.
