a small garden centre, looks like it specialises in fruit trees, shrubs and similar plants. staff helpful, I said what I was looking for and she made a few suggestions, I took some pictures so that I could discuss the options later. there is a good chance that I'll be back. there was also a cafe on site, something for next time.

Spent an enjoyable rainy long lunchtime at Longcombe Cross Garden Centre today. Everyone was happy - a little soft play for the kids, delicious baked potatoes, coffee and cake in the nice cafe area, bought a selection of plants and seeds with advice from friendly staff. Liked the colouring and garden magazines available to entertain kids and parents while waiting for food. Will visit again in a couple of months for more plants! Highly recommend, great independent business.

Great news... it's open 7 days a week, 9-4 (at the time of writing this review)! This review is on the cafe side of things, not so much the Garden side of things. The coffee is nice and the staff are helpful. There is a little play area for Toddlers. This is great for the kids but obviously it can get a bit noisy at times. Several different areas to sit - comfy chairs & sofas, cubicles & your standard table & chairs. There is also a small outside area which I bet is lovely when the sun is out (still waiting for that day). I think the prices are a little high for the portion size you get but it is good quality. Having said that, prices are going up everywhere and it's not that easy to find good coffee at a lower price. (See bottom of review for a price guide). There is one big toilet. No problems if you have a buggy/pushchair or wheelchair. Only feedback that I'd really give is that it would be nice to have a mirror in the bathroom but that's quite a minor detail imo. Prices at the time of my visit at the end of February 2023... Americano 2.80 Cappuccino, latte 3.20 Mocha 3.50 Hot choc 3.30-3.70 Cup of tea 2.40 Cans & water 2.25-2.50 Cakes 3.25-3.95

Very pleasant cafe with a kids soft play area so it can be a bit noisy - but they are small kids and the helpings of lunch and cake are rather splendid. Nice coffee and helpful staff who know about both coffee and gardening. Really nice, if you ask me!

Omg the price of a coffee £3.20p That's mad. Was open until 4 but put all the cakes away half an hour before. So just had a coffee. To be honest that's Costa price's. And you know what everyone calls them. Cost alot coffee. Just no need.
