The village extends north from Ash Wharf with an organic mix of property including character homes from the turn of the 20th century, 1920’s and 1930’s homes, 1970’s and 1980’s family homes and bungalows.

Locally, you will find a number of properties resting on larger than average plots, providing significant garden space and potential to extend (STPP). Whilst there are also areas that date back to the Victorian times, with characterful terraced villas offering period features. The surrounding areas of Ash, Ash Green and Tongham have seen recent investment from both local and national developers, offering a diverse selection of new homes, from two bedroom coach houses to five bedroom detached homes. Darren and his team are the most professional, knowledgable, trustworthy, ethical and dedicated real estate professionals I’ve ever dealt with. We sold and bought through them and I can’t think how this could go any better. When I researched local agents I made a mistake of enquiring with the other one over the road, and then couldn’t get rid of them pestering me for months. If you want the right kind of experience for yourself and your potential buyer, Mackenzie Smith are the only choice in Ash and Ash Vale.

Nick was fantastic all the way through our sale & purchase. I would highly recommend his services & will seek to use him in future if/when we next move. He followed-up with all parties (all solicitors, buyers, sellers etc.) in the chain diligently & in good time to ensure the sale/purchase progressed quickly. I was always informed quickly of any updates & Nick was always on hand to offer thoughtful & considered advice when any decisions where needed. The majority of estate agents I spoke to pass your sale to different departments throughout the move, so you're never dealing with one person throughout (e.g. the person actually selling your property/doing viewings is someone you will not meet/vet before agreeing to use that estate agent). Mackenzie Smith on the other hand assigns you one person who deals with your sale/purchase cradle to grave. This really sets them apart from others. For me it was important to have a salesperson I could trust, and I was comfortable with Mackenzie Smith because the salesperson was the same person who valued the property and managed the sale from start to finish. Thank you Nick & the Mackenzie Smith team!

Mackenzie Smith did an excellent job in the sale of my property. Assistant Branch Manager Jason Bowden exhibited an excellent knowledge of the local market. He was accessible and prompt in his communications and kept me fully informed every step of the way.

We could not speak more highly of the team at Mackenzie Smith, Ash Vale branch. Darren is very personable, honest & reliable from the moment we met him we knew that they were the estate agents we wanted to use. All the way through the process Darren, Nick & Jason stayed in regular contact and nothing was too much to ask. Having only moved to the area when we bought our first home four years ago, Darren’s personal knowledge of the area & in particular our estate was second to none.

I would recommend Nick from Mackenzie Smith to anyone! From the moment we met Nick we were positive about his passion and commitment for his job. He was open, honest and knowledgeable about all areas of marketing, selling and his role in it all. There was no 'big sales pitch' which was refreshing. We were kept informed all the way through and Nick didn't disappear once we had sold. In fact we thank Nick for helping us finally get to contract exchange as he went over and above chasing all solicitors and estate agents up and down the chain till we got there. (Shame he wasn't our solicitor too!)
