Mangreen Country House

Mangreen Country House is an oasis of tranquility and calm set in its own grounds south of the cathedral city of Norwich, offering peaceful bed and breakfast accommodation in the 300 year old country house. But there is much more to this delightful venue, which is also an ideal location for the business community, occasions– including weddings, wellbeing, education and retreats… it even has a fully accessible swimming pool.

Boasting eight recently refurbished bedrooms within the main house, there is a great choice for the discerning visitor whether it be a romantic weekend or a holiday base for visiting Norfolk and North Suffolk. Together with the purpose-built business, wellbeing and training facilities, Mangreen has the flexibility to offer business users a bespoke package to suit to their specific requirements.

The Mangreen Trust is a charity, and also an important centre for education offering individual and group retreats, spiritual health programmes and courses as diverse as counselling skills and practical parenting. These all take place within the Mangreen Country House site and represent a growing and increasingly popular aspect of the Trusts’s work.

Lovely old house in a great location for visiting Norwich and the coast, yet rural. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and beds comfortable. Dogs made to feel very welcome. Recommended and we will stay again when next in the area.

Wonderful place. Helpful, friendly staff. Comfotable & clean - and a great choice for breakfast. Lovely & quiet out in the countryside - but only a short drive into the centre of Norwich or back on to the main road out to the coast. Would recommend and will certainly go back if visiting the area again.

A beautiful Jacobean country house in a quiet and very peaceful location but in easy reach of Norwich. The grounds are extensive with various well being centres and a rather random farm shop. The first impression was somewhat spoiled by rather modern metal and plastic garden furniture and tatty garden borders. I was greeted by a very pleasant lady who checked me in, took my breakfast order and then carried my case up to the room. The room was large and bright with dual aspect windows. A four poster bed, sofa, chairs and table completed the room. Not enough plugs to charge phones and laptop. Reasonable free wifi. There was a bright shower room which was clean but had a bit of a whiff from the shower drain. No on-site restaurant so was pointed in the direction of the nearest places to eat. Deliveries can be ordered in. The bed was comfortable and clean and the house was quiet. A lovely hot shower in the morning. Breakfast was disappointing. Watery scrambled eggs almost white in colour so not free range. Rubbery sausage and over trimmed bacon.Boiled mushrooms. It tasted like quality had been sacrificed for price. In summary: Beautiful house in need of some tlc Lovely staff Great location for visiting Norwich and surrounding areas but not great for business users. Would I stay again.: No
