We run an appointment system, with a morning or afternoon slot available, Monday to Friday. During this time the showroom will be all yours, we can be on hand to help you find fabrics and offer advice on window treatments and hardware or whether you prefer to browse alone looking for inspiration.

We offer a free sample service or you can borrow the books for a few days to have a look at in your home, in different lights throughout the day.

It’s easy to book - just drop us and email on [email protected] or give us a call on 01566 785763 and we will get you booked in.

Appointments are bookable between between Monday and Friday at the following times;

We offer a free measuring service on the approval of an estimate, as we recognise it can be a nerve wracking experience to measure windows, we offer a range of bolt-on services such as pole fitting and curtain hanging and dressing for the complete service.

Soft furnishings are our speciality, we have an on-site workroom, a showroom bursting with fabric pattern books from the leading suppliers, free parking and with years of experience you will be in safe hands. We cover both Cornwall and Devon.

Penny has been amazing, I had no idea how many options there were when making curtains. From the very beginning she obviously wanted to do the very best job possible. She advised us, with the utmost patience, on linings, tracks, pleats, and was always available whenever we had a question. I picked up the curtains from the workshop yesterday and am delighted. She clearly loves what she does and is a pleasure to do business with. Thank you!

Penny from Merchants and Makers was great, she helped us every step of the way from advising what styles of curtains/blinds would be best for our bespoke bay windows to helping with the fabrics and pelmets to work best for each room.
