We are a European, International and domestic removal firm and our head office is based in Tamworth, Staffordshire in the West Midlands. We also have depots across the UK in London and Manchester. Our 8000 square foot storage facility is situated in Fazeley, Tamworth on the Riverside Industrial estate. We use professional wooden crates at our containerised storage depot. Our warehouse is a standalone unit which is gated with CCTV, so you can ensure your personal possessions are secure. We cover the entire UK for our European and International shipping and also service local areas for our domestic relocations. Our operations team can guide you through the paperwork you require for each country, so your relocation is as stress free as possible. We were really happy with Tom and Isaac from Mercia's movers. They were on schedule both in Oxford and in Nice. They were careful with everything and happy to explain the process, answer any questions and deliver the boxes in the correct room. I would recommend them. Excellent service. The team were extremely accommodating and patient throughout the process of my move to the Netherlands. They kept things simple and provided explanations of all the processes needed for import/export of personal effects. They demonstrated flexibility through what would otherwise be a stressful process. Mercia Movers dealt with the receiving end of our possessions on our return to the UK from abroad. As we were having our house renovated we weren't ready to receive it so it all went into storage. Their storage fees were very reasonable. When we were ready they came in two Luton vans with a total of four guys. The guys were great, very polite, quick and professional. They even moved a sofa that was already in situ from the first floor down to the ground floor. If I needed to, I would have no hesitation on using Mercia again. Madeira to UKWe needed to find away of getting our possessions from the Island of Madeira to UK, after many failed attempts we found Merciamovers. From start to finish Kate was superb. All boxes arrived, extremely efficient and great communication. Everything she did was very much appreciated. And most importantly they did what they said they’d do - and in the agreed timeframe. They deserve more business. Arrived exactly on time,due to heavy garden furniture a element of play was introduced.Could 3 as I had to give a hand (agreed beforehand) ex squaddies still manage a acceptable gun race game but using the ramp and a heavy a 150kg garden bench as the canon.We will never know but I think we did alright, Nelson's tea was brewed, Cadbury Finger's consument.All done before 12.45ish.Highy recommended wouldn't use anymore else.Thanks to the team at Murcia Movers no stress but plenty laugs and right on time. Having to tranship into a larger lorry due to access issues, we were concerned about damage and breakages - but pleased to say everything was in perfect order at the other end. Just an ever so slight scratch to just one of my items which of course a very small amount of damage when moving such a long way is to be expected but as I had taken out full insurance cover, my claim was processed very quickly. Following a friendly and reassuring detailed video survey we received a competitive (not the cheapest) quote which allowed for some last minute changes of mind and extra items. They were extremely responsive whenever I contacted them with a question and they helped with the customs formalities.On the day of the move we were kept well informed of the arrival time. The men were extremely helpful, pleasant and willing to accommodate our requests. The same was true for the crew unloading in Germany. Overall, the whole move went smoothly. I have moved around A LOT and moving house is not easy at the best of times but covid has certainly made it a lot more challenging for everyone but Mercia really did make the process so, so much easier, they explained clearly from the beginning that delays may be incurred due to this which I understood and they kept me informed on the progress of my goods throughout, if ever I asked for an update they got back to me very quickly, excellent communication from the office. I’ve used Mercia Movers to relocate from the UK to Australia. Never have I dealt with such an incompetent company. The initial person that you speak with is friendly and helpful but don’t get sucked in, as the service is terrible. My furniture was collected from my UK address on the 17/05/22 and after completing an itemized form prior to collection, was told that the cost would now be double what I’ve already paid as apparently, I need more cubic meters than first estimated. (If they’re a professional company, they should have an idea of necessary space requirement from an itemized form) I had no choice but to pay the extra. Then, after 4 weeks I hadn’t heard from them so I had to email them again to see whether my furniture had left the port. Only to be told that because of Covid, there were and are delays by a backlog of shipments. To cut a long story short, and five emails later, I have been told my shipment is now due to leave on 18/09/22. That's a total of four months that they have had my belongings and done nothing to process the move. I am not confident at all that this will be the final departure date as this is the fourth date I have been given for departure. So to sum it all up, Mercia Movers charge double their original price, make excuses for their incompetence, (the customer is always wrong attitude) and make people wait months before they release shipments. I’ll be lucky to see my furniture this side of Christmas. Terrible service. An update since I last wrote this review...I advised Mercia Movers that I had around 7 cubic meters worth of furniture when I signed up to their service. This was the space that I had when I shipped my belongings over to the UK from Australia through a different shipping company in January 2021. So, Mercia Movers used this 'number' as a guideline to follow, although I did inform them I had one or two extra items going back, therefore expected the total cubic meter area to be slightly higher. But, I wasn't aware that they take the customer's estimation as literal and when they came back to me and said I had 14.2 cubic meters, I was very shocked. So, I paid the extra to cover a 14.2m3 area in a container. That was almost four months ago....Yesterday, I was sent an invoice from a moving company for quarantine inspection fees in readiness for when my furniture finally arrives in Australia. On the invoice it states that my shipment's cubic meter space totals 9.91.....this is way off the 14.2 that I paid Mercia Movers. When I queried this with them, again, it's my fault because apparently they arranged another delivery, (to and where I do not know,) and as my shipment was over the initial volume, and they used two storage containers, that's their excuse of the extra charge. I've never known of a company that expects the customer to know exactly how much volume is required on a container for them to do their job?? And why didn't Mercia Movers contact me when they realized that they over charged me by a considerable amount. I feel that if I hadn't noticed the final cubic meter total on the invoice, they would have ignored the fact that they have charged me too much.
