So my friend recommended this garage as they had some work done and felt they had done a good job at a good price, however I didn’t receive the same experience unfortunately. I called and booked my car in for them to check over as I was unsure what was wrong with my car (baring in mind when my husband used them to check his car no issues with no fee) they explained after checking that there were several things wrong with my car which exceeded the value of the vehicle I chose not to proceed with the work they had recommended for this reason. When I went to collect my car they advised me that it’s £78 for an hours work! Excuse me!!! There response was “we don’t work for free” well no we don’t we provide a verbal agreement via booking and then proceed. £78 for them to check my car???? Now the price is not the issue but not being given the option to accept or decline the service when initially booking is the problem (baring in mind my husband had his car check here and there was no charge). I asked why I wasn’t told upon booking but apparently there was no answer for this. I asked to speak to a manger which they ignored the receptionist slammed down my key when I proceeded to argue this point. Interestingly enough I called this morning explaining that my car needed checking and asked if there was a charge I was told no! Maybe just a payment rule for me! What a shame and bad experience, moving forward explaining to your customers the price or that there would even be a fee prior to work being completed is entering into a verbal agreement would be paramount. I then took my car to another garage and they checked it over for free, which is what I have experienced previously.

Amazing service, couldn't ask for a more honest guy been taking my car to him for about 3 years & he has always solved any issues I've had & been very efficient & helpful with the courtesy car so have been able to get to work & he's damn good value compared to some others.
