National College for Nuclear, Northern Hub

We are a partnership between industry employers, regulators, skills bodies and training providers. We provide the bridge between skills strategy and policy and the provision of the required skills capability and capacity. We do this by aligning industry demands (including low carbon, transitioning industries and non-civil) with the roll-out of assured curriculum where it is needed to meet nuclear missions. It is through this approach that we can make a difference in increasing regional opportunities including apprenticeships, in improving transferability and in delivering and maintaining the expert workforce for which the UK has a strong reputation. The ‘Courses’ section of this website will give you information such as duration, level, and course details and will show where in the country it is available, with a link to that college/ university so you can apply direct to your preferred provider. We assure the capacity and capability of providers to meet the needs of employers in the nuclear sector. We partner with Higher Education (HE) Organisations and Further Education (FE) Universities to deliver experiential, immersive learning to meet the needs of the sector.
