Wow, what a gem! We booked a room here to rest up before driving onto Scotland, and we will be back just to stay at this hotel! The staff are super attentive and really helpful- the room was perfect for us. We were able to take dinner up to the room (food was great, had the bar menu). Really peaceful nights sleep and a fabulous breakfast. We were able to have our two small dogs with us as well. Will be back to try out the spa. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.

Our new favourite place to stay. We had a spa break here, and from beginning to end we couldn't fault the staff who were kind and thoughtful, making our experience perfect. A beautiful old residence which is reflected in the bedrooms, but the spa has fantastic facilities including thermal steam rooms and hot tubs. The highlight for me was the breakfast, absolutely delicious.

Can't comment on the accommodation as we only went for lunch but the rooms I saw were excellent - library and drawing room. The service was great as was the food. The location was lovely, and as we are we could see right over Morecombe bay. Beautiful.

Our son and husband had their wedding at the Netherwood, the location is stunning; the hotel is beautiful, and it provides a dramatic backdrop; the food was very well presented, tasty, and melted in your mouth. However, the real star was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We all had a wonderful time.

My partner and I visited the Lake District for the first time. We stayed at the netherwood for four days, two being in the rock house and two in the woodlands chalet. The reception staff were very accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay. The rock house is a simple but nice stay with an excellent view of the promenade, the woodlands chalet is slightly more expensive but 100% worth the money. The decor was beautiful, very spacious, it had everything you need even a hot tub. We had breakfast included throughout the entirety of our stay which too was amazing, with lots to choose from. We had dinner on our first night, we were apprehensive at first as my partner has many dietary requirements. However it completely exceeded our expectations, it was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
