NORTHCROFT CLINIC
In the early 1980’s I decided, along with my wife Lynne, to take up my passion for Complimentary Therapy and train in Massage. I studied for two years with the Northern Institute of Massage to obtain my Diploma in July 1988.
During this time, I was working to gain experience with my father Raymond Northwood at his practice in Kings Heath. This enabled me to be able to embrace and engage in his wealth of knowledge, principles and studious approach to his work. We worked together for a number of years until I opened my own practice in Cotteridge, where I have remained for almost twenty years.
My wife and I started the practice for our family’s future, which is how we came to combine our names together and the birth of Northcroft Clinic began.
Following this I continued studying at the Northern Counties School of Osteopathy where I gained my Diploma in January 1995.
Over the years I have extended my knowledge and skills to include Pain Neutralization Technique, Mobilization with Movement and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique). My love of books has enabled me to gain further understanding and keep up to date on new techniques and developments within my chosen career.
My clinic started with just one treatment room and now I am proud to boast our new premises at 1841 Pershore Road, Cotteridge, has two treatment rooms along with a spacious Reception where patients can now be treated in comfort and a peaceful environment. Along with my family i have enjoyed the excitement of creating both rooms into a relaxing atmosphere, each with its own individual style to ensure our patients are able to enjoy and relax in the comfortable surroundings and gain the most from their treatment. We now have a large reception area where patients and their friends/relatives are able to wait in comfort and we are always happy to offer them a hot drink while they wait and a biscuit (or two).
I love to meet old and new patients alike to share with them my knowledge and experience of the different treatments I am able to offer. I take great pride and pleasure in being able to help and alleviate the pain and discomfort of my patients thus in many cases making them more independent.
