The small village of Nowton is located on the southern edge of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The village is situated to the south of the vast Nowton Park which consists of 200 acres in size and is beautifully landscaped in a typical Victorian style. To the south of the park lies Nowton Court Village (built: 1837) standing proudly at the end of the famous ‘Lime Tree Avenue’ which consists of over 100,000 daffodils in springtime.

Maggie Hos-McGrane5 StarMy mother has been living in the Nowton Court retirement village for the past 4 years. She has an apartment in the independent living section known as The Grange, but is able to use all the facilities of the manor house. This includes a dining room where she can order a good lunch, a wellbeing centre, and access to all the activities that are organised each week such as Tai Chi, art therapy, games afternoons and so on.
The manor house is decorated beautifully, with lovely lounges for relaxation and a well stocked library. The grounds are well maintained, and being right on the edge of Nowton Park it's easy to get out into the country.
I feel very happy that my mother has found such a lovely place to live, with caring people who are available 24 hours a day. I have found the management to be very understanding and responsive to her needs.Friday 15th July 2016
