Stuart and Georgiana have lived in Upper Harbledown for over 15 years and have enjoyed their rural setting although only being less than three miles from Canterbury City Centre. During that time they have converted their barn into a purpose built guest house accommodation and have developed a pig farm in their extensive oak woodland providing them with the pleasure of keeping pigs in their natural environment and also giving fantastic tasting meat. Georgiana also runs a cleaning company servicing many hotels and knows what it takes to provide outstanding cleanliness along with service. We obviously have daily housekeeping included in the room rate, of exceptional standards. Both Stuart and Georgiana welcome guests to enjoy their bed and breakfast in their beautiful rural settings and pride themselves on their warm, friendly hospitality with onsite daily staff to assist. We have no minimum stay so whether you are booking an overnight stay or a longer holiday break, you are always welcome at Oakside Lodge.

Absolutely fantastic experience, Stuart is a fantastic host. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable, modern, and well appointed. The grounds are phenomenal, with lots of space and great views. Breakfast was perfect, with delicious homemade sausages and bacon. Will definitely come back to stay in the treehouse in the future!

A super location just on the outskirts of Canterbury. The City is walkable from here in just under an hour. Cycling could also be achieved quickly on a fairly safe route. Both walk and cycling routes, you have to cross the busy A2 through a little lane. You have good views each way where the crossing is. However, you have to take extreme care and take your time. There is an island between the two carriageways. Canterbury parking is extortionate, average at time of writing £2.50 PH, or £20 for day, so be warned. Canterbury cathedral also charges £15.50 PA, entry to visit. There are other options like park n ride,£4 per car up to six passengers or taxis at £10 EW. You can also catch a bus X3, but also believe anything with a 3 goes towards Oakside lodge. Coming back, you have to alight on the flyover bridge that crosses the A2 Boughton/Faversham. For a short walk back to the lodge. Oakside lodge is well presented and comfortable. Stuart is extremely hospitable, friendly and hard working. His breakfasts are superb with choices of juice, yogurt cereals toast and the amazing full English. We recommend Oakside lodge and would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you

This is a very nice B&B in a lovely location, set in oak woodland with lawned areas and even some pet pigs in the Oak Woodland. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the room and bathroom facilities where very good. The breakfast was the best bit for me full English with real sausages, mushrooms, and tomato. All in all I had a great stay at Oakside Lodge but forgot to take pictures of the pigs.
