Ps Plays1 StarPhoned to get a free no obligation quote which was hassle free - however the quote took several days and several attempts at chasing before being given. Quote was reasonable and I chose to accept the quote given however communication on when the job would start was quite vague. I paid 50% and waited for an update.
Several messages backwards and forwards to try and get a clear picture ensued. In the meantime I was given a more competitive quote and decided would be easier to go with another company so asked for a refund.
I was told I could have a refund minus 5% the total charge for coming to give me a quote.
When I then said if that was case please proceed with the job as I didn’t want to lose money just to have a quote I was then told i would need to pay for the full amount or they wouldn’t do it.
In the end I said you have my deposit if you want the job please update when you can start if not refund me my full amount.
I then revived a message saying
“ Refund paid. Do not contact me again.”
Maybe I am wrong in this but when spending quite a bit of money you want it to be right.
I imagine this company would be ok as long as you have no questions and don’t get anyone else to quote as well.Friday 3rd July 2020
