I had to move my dear Mum in law, she was neglected, on two occasions in the space of a week i found her abandoned in her room, they opened private and confidential mail then filed it in their office and failed to inform us. The photograph below is of Mum's evening meal, we were paying £1,300 per week and would expect at least the choice of a hot meal. The food generally is poor. I have asked them to justify their costs and the charges especially considering that they also retained the funded nursing care from our local CCG. They have failed to return the LPA for Mum. I moved Mum to Priory Court in Stamford, the difference was stark, residents treated with dignity, constant events that stimulate the residents and patients. A bright well decorated home who obviously are selected on their own merits, Polebrook is dingy and in dire need of extensive refurbishment, Bravo Priory Court. I have referred my concerns to CQC, i await a response.

I have worked for Polebrook now for 11 years. The staff are caring, compassionate and always put the residents needs first. We have new management and she encourages the team to work "as a team" Staff mural has much improved! The Activities team are great and really focus on Person centred care as well as group activities- they have decorated our main lounge/ dining areas which have really brightened it up. I would highly recommend Polebrook

I have worked at Polebrook Nursing home for almost 7 years. The staff are caring and kind and the manager is fantastic. She looks after the residents and staff like they are family. Couldn't wish for better.

My Mother has just spent the last 9 months of her life at Polebrook. She could not have lived in a more careing environment, I felt that the carers and nurses were more like friends than staff.

The worse place I could ever work. The residents are badly treated by some of the staff, and the manager even knowing so, doesn't do anything to change the situation. The manager's treating the foreign and pregnant staff like dirt, the list goes on. I would not recommend this place at all, neither for residents or new staff.
