Ullswater House is located in the centre of Glenridding and just a 5 minute walk away from the shores of Ullswater. The building dates back to the 1900's.This spacious and comfortable property is ideal for a two family holiday or for groups of up to ten people. From the doorstep of the property there are many picturesque walks ranging from the famous Helvellyn range to the more gentle, undulating valleys in the area. Close to The Inn on the Lake and Ullswater Steamers.

2 stars. Ice-cream was delicious - 5 stars. Value for money - 4 stars. Lady serving was cooly friendly - 3 stars. Hygiene standards minus 5 stars. Cones handled with bare hands - no gloves, napkins or hand washing. Same hands handling the cash and other products. Pretty disgusting. I've worked in food service for over 20 years and hygiene is paramount!

After a nice visit to Aira Force we visited Glenridding & my husband popped in to The Corner Shop for ice cream. He asked for 2 large cups, 1 with 2 scoops of rum & raisin the other with 2 mint choc chip, the lady serving put one scoop of each flavor into 1 pot, my husband said sorry that’s not what I asked for & reiterated the order, the lady said he hadn’t explained what he wanted properly, he said he had to which she said ‘Whatever’ so he promptly left the shop, really no need for anyone to be so rude. Extremely bad customer servuce

Very disappointing service as wouldnt have given any stars. Went at 8.25pm Sat evening, shop empty, young girl was in back room. Asked for 2 double cones which would have come to £9. Was met with 'too late, stopped serving ice cream'. Flavours were just situated in the front window. I couldn't be bothered to argue with her, we just walked out. How long would it have taken to get a scoop and make 2 cones, a minute or so, then wash scoop out? Girl obviously wasn't shops owner
