The Retreat has been with me since 2004. I qualified as a beauty therapist in 1998, during my journey my focus has always been how we can feel better about ourselves! Self love in my eyes is beauty! I wear many hats at The Retreat, I mostly enjoy the client time and making sure your inner confidence shines through. I have a clear vision with an honest approach making sure you get the best out of your treatment. I have been a Beauty Therapist since 2003, working at other reputable salons in the area. Where I feel I have settled at The Retreat and I continue to look forward to meeting all the clients that come here, both new and existing. Facials are one of my favourite treatments, both to do and to have! I enjoy these because of the benefits it has to our skin to maintain a healthy complexion and to our overall wellbeing. I have been working as a beauty therapist since 2008 and have been with The Retreat since 2011. I am the senior therapist and take a spa like feel to my treatments. I enjoy doing facials, especially using the Decleor plant-based products. I also enjoy treatments such as lashes, which give that instant feel-good factor. I’m the newest member of the retreat, I qualified my Level 2 in 2021 (nails and waxing) and recently completed my Level 3 in June 2022 (facials and massage). I’m looking forward to developing my skills further. Beauty to me is about making you feel confident within yourself and to have that time to take a break and relax. I am quietly confident with a calm and gentle nature. I’m pleased to start my Beauty Therapy journey with the retreat and look forward to meeting you! I’m Sam, I have been qualified since 2010 and started at The Retreat in 2022. I went into beauty because I have a passion for the industry to care and making you, our clients feel and look great! I also love developing my knowledge on health and nutrition where the inside needs to be looked after as much as the outside. With this I can advise you on your overall health and well-being, some say I have more of a holistic approach. I have a 10-year-old, so I know what it’s like trying to make that time out for you! Keeping that harmonious balance, which is important to maintain our sanity. I will look forward to treating you, when you make that all important time out for you! I have been at The Retreat since 2017, where I am one of the receptionists here. My aim is to make everyone welcome and ensure you feel comfortable and looked after. I have been told that I am very sociable and chatty, I am currently undertaking my level 4 counselling diploma as my aim long term is to support help others. I enjoy meeting and getting to know clients at The Retreat. I have continually worked as a receptionist in the Beauty industry since 1995 and have been with The Retreat since it opened in 2004. As the manager my role is varied and keeps me on my toes. I pride myself in making sure clients feel welcome and relaxed in what sometimes can be an unknown environment, especially for those who are new and may have preconceived ideas of the beauty salon environment. I have been a beauty therapist since 2014. I have gained knowledge and experience in other local salons and joined The Retreat team in 2020. I really enjoy making our clients feel good on the outside as well as inside I have continuously gone that extra mile and given extra attention. I am highly skilled at intimate hot waxing and discovering my love for massage.

Thinned my brows way too much. Quite a few hairs were missed in the areas that were gone over so I had to pluck them out myself.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to the Retreat, Sam who did my treatments is just amazing, I’m so happy with the treatments and they’re such a kind place. I was caught in a bind with someone cancelling and they really helped out and were lovely in the process, thank you! Would absolutely recommend!

I have 3 vouchers worth £120 for this place. I had them for my birthday in July last year and was saving to use them for a treatment near to Christmas. I rang once to book my appointment but was not able to book at the time. Then in November I got covid and was ill for 6 weeks. Then I contacted the place three weeks before my vouchers ran out to book but they were full. They would not book any appointment after my voucher date and said I can come in if they have a cancellation. I waited for a phone till February and contacted them again. Still they took my contact number to say they will call me back. Its April now and I'm still waiting to hear from the owner. I'm very very upset and disappointed with the service. I guess its free money for them now and not bothered to give me any treatment. Tjus is a lot of money and gifts friends and family had given. I know it was my fault for leaving it late but I was still in time for the voucher when I first rang them, so they should have honored the vouchers. I was also happy to wait for a cancellation as offered. Very disappointed.
