My mother is a resident. I doubt any care home is perfect as they have an extremely challenging job. At Risby Park I have thus far found the staff to be kind and helpful. Risby Park tries to provide a homely rather than institutional environment. The building may be a little tired now, but that is more than off set by the welcoming and caring staff, many of whom seem to have genuine warmth towards my mother.

My mother has only been in Risby Park since the end of November last year and has sadly just passed away. I just really need to say that I have been so impressed with the care compassion and commitment the staff have for people…..residents and guests. They are exceptional people always trying to help even when they are short staffed and extremely busy helping others. Thank you for making my mother’s last days so peaceful and special thanks to the lady who stayed with mother when she passed. Again thanks to you all….

I worked at Risby Park for longer than a year and I loved it! Every single person that works in this Nursing Home deserves a gold medal. I have only come across kind hearted and loving staff. Residents were well looked after and were enjoying their every day to day life. Wish I could go back, such a lovely place!

Some of the carers work their socks off and care for the residents and then you have others who do nothing, they do not wash the residents just put down that they have done it, don't feed them either. The management could not organise a chimps tea party, there are never enough carers on duty and they will not pay for temporary staff. Management are spending a LOT (thousands) of money on a Christmas day so everybody thinks how good they are and yet a lot of the residents do not even get any of the benefits. The whole place needs a bomb put under it to reorganize it.
