Our speciality is running Photography courses, Photography Workshops and Photography Tours. Whether you are looking for photography classes for beginners to get  your camera out of auto, or a seasoned photographer requiring expert led Guided Photography Tours, we can help. We run Lake District Photography workshops throughout the year and being located in a World Heritage site means  it's  a fantastic location in which to undertake photography. We also run Photography Tours and Holidays in the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales, Scotland and Snowdonia. As well as offering One to One sessions, we run group workshops and specialist training on topics such as low-light photography. Rod also operates as an expert photography guide / tutor, running photography trips for specialist holiday companies. We provide Commercial Photography Services for local businesses and organisations in a personal, friendly and professional manner. Working with you, we'll produce high quality images that show your service or product to its full potential.

I spent a day with Rod on one of his One to One sessions. The day was really well orchestrated and even though the weather was against us I still came away with new knowledge, fantastic tips and great photos. The course notes I received afterwards were a great bonus and are packed with really useful information.

This course was just what I needed to move me beyond the auto function on my SLR camera. The day, spend in a small group, was a very practical run through better composition and use of aperture and shutter modes. Full of helpful tips and guidance. And all set in the glorious surrounds of Ullswater.

I was given a one-to-one day with Rod Ireland as a birthday present and I have to say it ranks among the best birthday presents I've ever had. I consider myself to be an advanced level amateur photographer and was amazed by how valuable my day with Rod was. Rod is a great tutor and as you can see from his Youtube videos, is as good with tutoring beginners as he is experienced photographers. I would highly recommend a day with Rod to anyone looking to take their landscape photography to the next level.

Inspirational, Rod welcomed two novice photographers into the Lake District and left us with a thirst for much more. I can honestly say I will never look through a viewfinder the same again.
