Sainsburys supermarket ok. Not the best I have been to and really dis-like having to pay for car parking. I only needed to go to Customer Service but it cost £1.40. There should be a service that if you Spend £10 or more, your ticket would be stamped for free parking also a returns for free parking, like some Sainsburys I have shopped at.. Staff seem very nice..

TOURISTS BEWARE! Better go to LIDL on the other road. Sainsbury's robbing off tourists on this branch. Went there to buy toiletries and stuff that we forgot going on holiday. I was apprehensive at first as I could see people paying for parking, I asked locals if do I need to pay for parking and they said yes, but another one mentioned that it is going to be redeemable on Sainsburys if you buy stuff. As normal on other groceries they would redeem a parking, I went in and look for what I need. As l am paying, when I asked a Sainsbury employee where to have my parking validated, he told me, I need to spend at least £10. I was surprised and felt like I was being robbed - feels like Sainsburys sticking a knife to me, wanting my £10. All I need to buy is "luffa sponge" - which is a very basic necessity that they don't even have, shower gels, floss and needle/thread. Spoke to the manager and he said it is the council parking and it is not theirs and he is not even showing empathy. It doesn't matter if it is the councils parking or not, If Sainburys intention is not to ROBBED people/tourists, a sign by the parking meter or even on the entrance "£10 MINIMUM SPEND FOR PARKING REQUIRED" would be helpful. Not on the back of the parking ticket that you already have paid for. They should have thought about this as being on the Lake District, people would go there for a holiday not a home supply grocery.

Best day out ever. I rode the escalator and walked down the fruit and veg aisle. I then got to see wild tins of food in their natural habitat and a captive bag of frozen peas that Sainsbury's breeding programme had given birth to. The household items live show is impressive and the finale of the iron doing a backflip over the microwave was particularly awesome. In recent years the experience in a Sainsbury's has become far superior in comparison to the likes of Tesco and Asda. I will be returning for the Halloween scarefest and I'm already excited
