Welcome to the Parish of Badshot Lea and Hale!

We are a Church of England parish that would love to welcome you. We are now open again for worship on Sundays and on Wednesdays at St Mark’s (see right for details). We are also online and you can access the services here, along with other spiritual resources, some of which are here. You can also sign up to receive our Weekly Notices.

You can sign up here for updates too but also please get in touch if we can help or if you can offer help and we will do our best to point you in the right direction. You can email Stella Wiseman, the parish administrator.

We have several different congregations, who worship in a variety of styles, so we hope to have something for everyone. We are an Inclusive Church a church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We are also an Eco-Church, striving to care for God’s Creation.

We long to show God’s love in all we do and to serve the people who live in this wonderful community – our Parish covers Sandy Hill, Folly Hill, Upper Hale, Hale, Lower Hale, Heath End, Weybourne and Badshot Lea – 14,000 people! You can see the area the Parish covers with this map.

We are a community that relies on each other to help us to serve Christ and the communities that we live in and we will continue to do so in these unprecedented times.

We’re delighted that you’ve found us and hope this website will show you a bit about who we are and where to find us. We hope you find what you are looking for!

We’d really like to hear from you – please contact us, follow us on Facebook, follow us on Instagram, subscribe to our YouTube channel  and Tweet us

I visited to attend the AGM of a group to which I belong. The meeting took place in the church, while buffet refreshments were served in the adjacent part of the building. The only negative aspect as far as I was concerned was the parking facilities where, after the official small park was filled, the only other space left was in a narrow space alongside the church, where three of us parked. OK, until the first two to arrive wanted to leave, and had to wait for the third party to move out! Just one of those things!

The team at these three churches always seem to be busy putting on some sort of event or supporting the local community. Given they have parking challenges at two of the three Churches they do a remarkably good job!

Food bank didn't go in the church, but was clean and car park could do with a disabled bay.
