My wife brought her car to Severn with an awful sounding noise from around the front wheel. We thought the suspension had gone, neighbours suggested the same too. Took it to severn and they removed a large stone that was just stook. They could have charged her hundreds, and we would have paid it thinking the suspensionhad gone, but they didn't and something similar happened with my car and severn a few years ago too. For that, we will only go to severn now, honest and genuine people. Many thanks Severn, much appreciated

Unprofessional and Poor Customer Service. Our Ford Kuga went in for an MOT and Service on 2nd September. When we went to collect it Severn had spotted a fault with the bonnet release catch sensor and informed us that the whole catch would have to be replaced, and they had already drawn up an estimate of £149.23 for the cost of replacing it. Other issues came to light subsequently: on turning over the engine to leave the garage, the outdoor temperature sensor failed to work and was indicated by a bright red snowflake on the instrument display. And later in the week other faults also became apparent. The first time that the car was driven in the rain the rear wiper blade was discovered not working, and the front and rear washers also failed to work. At this point we checked the car for further electrical faults and discovered: the reversing light was not working and the front and rear fog lights were not working. A visit to another garage discovered the fault in a matter of a few minutes. An electric connection below the glove box had been disturbed and come loose. On reconnecting it all of the above failings which had come to light since leaving the car at Severn Garage Services for its MOT and Service were instantly put right. I have two matters to raise concerning the less than professional conduct of the garage. The first why did Severn raise an estimate for a replacement bonnet catch without first checking whether it might have failed due to an electrical fault? And secondly, when my partner complained that the car did not previously have a problem with the two issues that were apparent at the time the car was collected: the bonnet release sensor and the outside air temperature sensor, the mechanic, who I believe to be the owner of the business, was dismissive, unhelpful and at times aggressive in his manner towards her. He was only prepared to correct the sensors if we paid for them. As it turns out the other garage did it for free! Needless to say we will not be availing ourselves of their services in future.
