SJL Heating & Plumbing

Had them out to service our boiler and fit a kitchen tap. Turned up on time, did the job, even though the tap took a little longer than they expected, job was done for price agreed and couldn't be happier. Will be using for all our plumbing and heating needs.

Mixed experience. Used twice and both times the engineer turned up 35+ mins late without any notification, I had to call the company to see what had happened. Also was quoted £40 to fit a tap but received a invoice for £66 which I questioned, I then received an apologetic reply reducing the price to £40 + vat which is still more than I was quoted. On the plus side both jobs completed to a good standard by friendly engineers

Did not turn up for first appointment and then hours late for second appointment and did not let us know either time, understand issues happen but need to understand people might be taking time off work for appointment- a morning off work can become a whole day or two. Just perhaps update customers with a text or something, I’m sure if it was the other way around then SJL would have issues with customers. Once work was being undertaken, just the apprentice turned up and was unsure, had to point out not all screws had been put back at the end. Promise of return to fit part by the owner but never turned up, even after contact attempts. Eventually used another engineer who was good at contact and turned up!
