Danny Davis5 StarHad my first introduction to climbing today and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not expensive and immediately signed up for the beginner's training course. A lot more interesting than lifting weights and came away feeling that I'd worked my whole body and found a new hobby. Highly recommended.Saturday 6th August 2022
Juuso Lehto4 StarGood gym at an affordable price (for now). Huge amount of cardio machines and you'll always find space to do something. However the free weights, especially barbell spaces and racks, can get full during term time. Quite a good selection of weight machines too.
Pool is good sized, but again can get busy. Clean showers/toilet areas.
During last couple of years the gym has been very active in raising prices.
Overall it's a 5/5 gym, but its a bit too crowded for the size. If you get in first thing in the morning, random lunch hour or just before closing you'll find space.
Also plenty of parking available if one needs to drive and a covered bike locking area.Monday 25th July 2022
Pietro Pasquero4 StarGreat staff and nice routes even if the price keeps increasing but nothing gets renewed or improved. I don't recommend taking one to one coaching sessions, the price is really hard to justify... Lastly, 2 of the auto-belay are missing this week, no warning or explanation was given, I came to the gym alone to find out that was going to be a really boring day...Thursday 7th April 2022
Anthony Emery4 StarNow my regular gym/swim place. Staff are nice/friendly.
Has plenty of equipment from machines to free weights to multiple lifting racks. Has a BIG functional rig. Could do with a better area for stretching/warm downs.
Best to avoid evenings/weekends during term as it is humming with students. Upstairs locker room needs bigger lockers and better showers.
Climbing walls, squash courts and other facilities make this the best equipped centre in the area.

Andy Rogers5 StarStunning building and world class facilities. Cafe is good, but not much seating if you are waiting for a class to finishSunday 20th March 2022
