Never been here before but excellent. We arrived and saw there was a wedding on, oh no! We have more than one previous experience of eating at a restaurant when a wedding was on. However service was excellent, food was a good selection presentation, quality and taste excellent. Price was reasonable for such a place and wine wasn't to expensive. It was good that they were able to manage the restaurant whilst coping with a wedding.

Myself and three friends spent almost 4 hours at the spread eagle today, 11.8.22. Lovely meeting place, dining areas spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff excellent, 3 staff dealt with our group over the afternoon. All approachable and attentive. Meals excellent. Would recommend this place for all age groups.

We went for lunch that was really tasty and then a walk. Later we had a fantastic evening meal and the staff where very friendly and really made a fuss of our dog they even had a dog menue. We stayed in our camper in the very very quiet car park opposite. Overall it was a lovely chilled experience and we will definitely return. 10/10

Our first visit and we will definitely return. This place ticks every box! Various walks that start at the front door, beautiful surroundings, food amazing and a good local beer, room was fabulous, dog made very welcome and the staff were a credit to individual inns. Thank you so much.

By pure coincidence we drove past the pub a few days earlier whilst on holiday, I realised it was the place where my parents had their wedding reception in 1974 so wanted to try and visit before heading home. We managed to get a table at very short notice for Sunday lunch. The staff were lovely, polite and very welcoming. Good white wine options for drinks and the food menu was great. Some of your regular pub favourites but also some slightly different options. The beef roast was exceptional, the best I’ve had in years. Great Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy. Would highly recommend and have already suggested it to a few friends who are local to the area.
