Welcome to St Joseph's College

As our Upper Sixth students embarked upon their final term at St Joseph’s, we welcomed a number of new families into our community, including short term boarders from Italy and France. It all plays a part in the happy and fulfilling cycle of College life.

The College takes pride in nurturing the whole child – body, mind and spirit – and our school is never better than in the Summer Term, when academic studies come to fruition and the long, warm days invite participation in trips, visits, sports matches, camps and festivals.

Students returned refreshed from their Easter break. Well over 100 were still buoyant from the success of Grease the Musical, staged as the holiday began, and 40 more had tales to tell of their five-day sojourn in New York city. Our examination candidates used much of the Easter holiday to revise and a number returned to campus during the break for A-level/GCSE revision camps.

Public examinations are a hallmark of the Summer Term and we are proud of both the broad pathways the College offers - including BTEC, A-level, CTEC and EPQ - and the range of subjects available to study. We are looking forward to another crop of excellent results for our students of all abilities in August and to watching our Upper Sixth leavers move on to an array of exciting destinations.

The Summer Term is, however, about a lot more than examination halls and results days. Our annual Arts Festival – this year celebrating ‘Our Beautiful World’ – is an undoubted highlight, when creativity takes the wheel and stage fright the back seat. We are looking forward to our inaugural Rugby and Netball 7s Festivals in May and to Cricket Week in June, when we hope the sun will shine on our manicured grounds. Including the Prep's theatrical production, sport days, prize givings and the Sixth Form Ball, our calendars are packed with red letter days.

If you are considering St Joseph’s Nursery, Prep School, Senior School or Sixth Form for your family we would encourage you to pay us a visit. This website will give you an idea of what makes St Jo’s so special, but coming onto the campus will really enable you to experience it for yourself. The Admissions team is on hand to guide you through the process, including registering for one of our family tours or Open Days. With warm regards

Amazing school. I went here and loved it. 10/10 do recommend. Rugby festival not too loud for the residents as some reviews say. History was fun, surprisingly. Worth the money to come. The Chapel is impressive and very large wit great sound system. Good, fair rules but still firm and inclusive. Rudlgby team very good and festival very fun.

Disappointing experience whilst recently dealing with them regarding our son joining the school. Admissions department was rude and unhelpful. Never returning calls or email. Mrs Woods the Prep teacher was unwelcoming and didn't show any love towards the children. I did see a few teachers/staff that looked warm and friendly but its not enough for you to forget your other experiences. The children did look happy and like they were enjoying themselves. The grounds are impressive but It seems all they really care about is getting your money and a bum on a seat. We know this school used to be brilliant and were hoping it would be our choice when we moved back to the area. Unfortunately we couldn't in good conscience choose this school because of our experience. Other independent schools in the area have dealt with us much faster and made an effort to show they care about the individual child and their parents

I started St Josephs college in 2011 and left in 2015 to work at my fathers Recruitment Agency. Even though I struggled the teachers still believed in me and helped me throughout my time at St Jos. Due to the teaching system, the college has really helped me in the real world. The college is amazing... I still visit to watch my girl play hockey. The atmosphere is the best throughout the colleges in and around Suffolk. I am very pleased with the teaching system at St Josephs and anyone would be extremely lucky to get the opportunity to study at such an incredible college. *cringe* but the truth.
