A very warm welcome to St Thomas More Catholic Primary School! We are a vibrant, happy Catholic primary school where all that we do is underpinned by our Mission Statement: To Learn and Grow as God’s Holy People.

We feel passionately that our school should be a place where children, families and staff feel safe, happy and valued and, through unfailing high standards, are nurtured to use their God-given talents to become the person God calls them to be. Through our sharp focus on the Gospel values we strive to live life just as St Thomas More did, putting God first.

St Thomas More is a place where children, staff, parents, governors and the Parish community work together, determined to create an ethos where we recognise that each child is loved by God, and that by demanding excellence for each child, every pupil is nurtured to meet their full human potential. Every child deserves an outstanding education, with unfailingly high behavioural and academic standards: this is what we are striving to achieve at St Thomas More. We can only do this in partnership with parents – your child’s first educator and most important influence – and so wish to work closely with parents to nurture each individual child academically, socially and spiritually.

By endeavouring to offer a rich, broad and balanced curriculum, we enable our enthusiastic pupils to develop a range of knowledge and skills that will equip them to become informed, successful and responsible citizens of the future. This also means that we constantly look at how we can improve: aiming for higher and higher standards of attainment, fostering excellent attitudes and providing a wealth of opportunities and experiences for pupils to enjoy.
