Always a good pub. Eaten here often, drank here often and a regular stop for us boaters. A bit disappointed by the bar staff at about 6pm Sunday. He was not very helpful. Otherwise, a good pub and a great location.

A decent public house for beers and food. Made feel welcome and on a lovely day its amazing to sit outside and watch all the narrow boats on the Canal and lock.

Under staffed, poor food quality, not fresh. I visited on a Friday 1st July at 6pm with my wife and 2 kids. Long queue and wait at the bar to order. Only 1 person serving at the bar so I stood at there for 20 minutes waiting to order food and drinks. Sat back down to wait. The food took half an hour to arrive. Kids meals were dry. Burger was dry amd cold. The chicken was so dry that was thrown on top of the pasta dish. He salad wasn't fresh. Burger served with chunky chips although it said fries on the menu. I asked and was told there were no fries left but I wasn't told beforehand when ordering. No tomato on my Burger so I had to ask a staff member for it. The food here isn't fresh at all. It's clearly frozen reheated food and the taste reflects that but the price does not. The ice cream was the best bit at the end. I think I will just go to Burger King or McDonalds next time as at least there I will know what to expect for a third of the price...
