I used their services twice and both times I was disappointed in the customer service. It was rude to ignore my request or comment on my decisions. I asked for a maxi dress to shorten and ended up with an uneven hem, much shorter than expected. I spent 45 more minutes pinning the dress to make it round and they didn’t even touch it. Looking at the cut of the fabric, it is obvious that it was not cut evenly across the length. The man said it was a fluid dress and the result was okay. On top of that, I was charged more than the usual price because of the length of the fabric. I will never use their service again and do not recommend them at all.

Today I feel like I have brand new clothes, after picking up two dresses that I’ve worn for years but I wasn’t fully happy with the fit. Swift Stitch did complicated alterations and I’m thrilled with the results. A bodice shortened. Pleats added. And they patched my jeans too! The people who run Swift Stitch are very skilled and helpful. They’ve done lots of alterations for me over the years, ranging from simple hem shortening and taking in waists, to complicated adjustments. I’m very happy they’re in Guildford.

Popped in here as my more local tailer rudely said it would take weeks to fix a small hole on some jogging bottoms. Swift stich took my garmnet straight away and not only made holes unnoticeable but they also had it done in under 48 hour and charged very little. I came straight back with another set of joggers that needed some tlc and they fixed them right up yet again. Think I had about 7 wear and tear holes and they made them look new for £20. Forget the other tailers in town. This is the one the use! Thanks guys

Got a massive stein on my brand new silk dress after asking for it to be altered and was not even reimbursed!!!!!the alternation finish was not as requested and looked really bad also! Very angry:(
