*Avoid where possible* could be classed as a comedy of errors if it wasn't the most important buy in your life, never returned phone calls, I had to chase all the time, didn't supply critical information until the night before completion and still on the morning of completion!! I hardly ever spoke to my actual solicitor as they were never in the office "working from home" I work from home but can still answer calls & emails. Buying a home is a stressful time and they don't even attempt to make it easier. They seem to forget your their client and your paying them good money to do a good job to them your just a number. In their write up they say they develop a good relationship with their clients....what a joke I didn't even get confirmation of my completion date until 2 day's before, no time to organise anything, which meant still moving furniture at 10 o'clock at night, not nice for us or our new neighbors, it was even the estate agent who told me we'd completed at about 2.45 and I got the news from the solicitor's by EMAIL!!...not a phone call...an email at 4.05 appalling!! My advice any solicitors are better than these . I only put 1 Star because you can't put none😡

We used Taylor Rose for the sale of our property & also purchase of new recently. All in all they were OK (no more, no less). I found it all depended on the person you dealt with on the level of service you got, and there never seemed to be an continuity of staff dealing with your case. Our Solicitor was Felicity who seemed good in the 1 conversation I had with her through the whole process, but that was it, otherwise we never dealt with her it was various other staff. We were at a crunch point in our move having issues trying to tie in both moves & I was simply asking for certain questions to be asked of the other parties in the chain (regarding completion dates) and the staff I was dealing with were really not proactive or helpful at all, quite simply acted as a letter box & passing copy & pasted emails back and forth not adding any value whatsoever which was incredibly frustrating when in the midst of it all trying to get moved. Credit to a lady there called Natalie who was really good & the only 1 to seemingly genuinely try to help out. Also we had some searches funds to be refunded for a move that fell through, and it took some 6 months & a ludicrous amount of chasing (all of which went totally unanswered by Taylor Rose) to get this money back. All in all got the job done, mixed bag of staff, I wouldn't say to avoid, but I also wouldn't give a glowing endorsement for.

Arthur was our solicitor and we were very grateful for his help and support. There were some delays from other functions/teams at Taylor Rose but I would not want this to taint my review of Arthur from the point our case was assigned to him. This was by no means a simple transaction, and we found Arthur to be extremely diligent, understanding and responsive throughout the process. We would be pleased to work with him again in future.
