Teckels never puts a healthy pet down, but as you can imagine, this comes at a cost, especially with our long-term residents. We couldn’t do any of our rescue work without the generosity of our amazing sponsors, donors and volunteers and we greatly appreciate their continued support.

We re homed our two lovely cats from here. They know their animals and it really helped us find the right cats for us. Also lots of toys and beds for you to choose from for a donation. Don't shop, adopt!

Teckels has been a part of my families life for years what with the amount of dogs we have given a home too 😁37years ago I had my very first dog from here and she was a sweetheart and my mum have had a few ,well done teckels u do a super job ❤️👍

From my understanding the re-homing works as a cross between a dog lottery and tinder for dogs. Write-ups are very similar for each animal yet, you have to apply for each dog individually, based off a very loose, generic write-up and photos (I fear this implies that you should decide on looks and breed which is probably the reason that dogs end up in kennels in the first place?) and they never get back to you. We are an active couple, fully enclosed garden, local and no pets, had dogs before etc. yet, not suitable despite no contact from themselves and the same dogs being on the website (and at the kennels) for some time. Absolutely no help or direction from the staff, great!
