The Angel is a traditional English country pub in the Norfolk village of Swanton Morley. It is a grade 2 listed building, the oldest part dating back to 1610. The main bar has a low ceiling with original beams which have English hops hanging from them. The large open fire gives a very warm welcome to customers in the dark winter months.
The Angel has a reputation for serving a top quality choice of fine cask ales. Reasonably priced traditional pub food is served everyday (excluding Sunday evening).
Why not pop in and visit Pete and Avril and enjoy a pint, we are one of the few pubs in the area open all day.

Adrian Burt5 StarOK so it's not got a 5 star restruant. The decor is not shiny and new, but this place has atmosphere,lots of it. It has what is missing from so many pubs nowadays. It is a proper English pub. The food is good. The staff are very friendly. It's not glitzy or expensive. But it's what Norfolk pubs used to be. A refreshing change.Tuesday 13th September 2022

Martin Spencer2 StarOrdered the ham, egg & chips..not that nice to be honest..a lot of oil on the plate, not many chips..ham was okay but it's overpriced..there is definitely a group of regulars who give you the up and down but they did advise on the beers...the Darby further into the village has better food and presentation..we went there on another visit to the village.Monday 5th September 2022
