We came here for a quick drink and a small bite. Starters were delicious and we shared a dessert. All lovely in a what looks like a restored pub with an outdoor seating area. Looks like he’s doing well as on a Wednesday it was reasonably full . Very nice

Popular for food. Cannot comment on quality or price as I have not eaten there, however I am told they do a good Sunday roast which I must try. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Good undercover seating area outside overlooking a field. Beer a bit pricey but not unusual these days. Sadly they have a problem with the live ale pumps.

Fantastic pub. Been back twice now in a space of a month! Love the food, the fish and chips are so delicious. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Speed of service is very good, prices are decent. Will definitely return.

A lovely traditional pub with lovely clean and comfy rooms to stay in. The bar and waiting staff were really friendly and super helpful. Great menu with superb food. Massive breakfasts. We stayed for two nights, and chose to eat there again on the second night. I would definitely come back.

We arrived for our overnight stay in time for dinner and we’re pleasantly surprised. We loved our evening meal although we felt that the comfort, setting and service were a little informal compared to the gastro-pub menu and prices. That said there was plenty to choose from, plus homemade sourdough pizza! Our room was delightful. Spotless and comfortable. Obviously recently redecorated to a high standard. All our needs catered for. Particularly liked fresh milk for our tea/coffee provided in a small thermos and a cafetière with choice of packs of ground coffee. Extremely glad to find a decaf’ option! It was quite a warm night and wish we’d spotted the air conditioning before the morning (it would have helped to have it pointed out). Breakfast was outstanding. We ordered ‘off menu’ , the chef was happy to accommodate us. Lattes were included, which was a bonus (and exceptional). Next time we’re travelling through we will definitely be booking there again.
