Rachel Lanfranchi5 StarSuch a wonderful treat, the service was as warm and enjoyable as the food. Didn't think the Sunday roast could be topped until the sweets hit the table. Amazing Great selection of beers. Looking forward to our return visit soon.Wednesday 8th December 2021

Tina Lowe2 StarWent for afternoon tea. This was booked on the phone & was an easy process.
When we sat down I had forgotten one of our party didn’t have butter/spread (that’s my bad) but the woman working there said it’s too late as the sandwiches had been made a bit abruptly, there was no meeting us half way by offering to make even a single sandwich for her ( again I didn’t mention it when I booked so am not blameless) but I wasn’t asked about any dietary requirements either, so that would be a good idea when people book.
We were advised that we got Prosecco with our afternoon tea, I didn’t know what we got or how much it was - this wasn’t clarified over the phone either. So got to choose the alcohol or alcohol free option which was nice to have both options.
After the afternoon tea had been bought out the lady came over and asked if we wanted our tea yet, we asked for 5 minutes. But after a good period of time I asked for a coffee so the lady took our tea pot and grabbed us our coffees, my mum asked after her pot of tea as she didn’t have it, so the woman had taken mums tea pot and have it to another table but after asking did bring the tea over.
The sandwiches were sloppy, service was abrupt also.
I’ve been here before and couldn’t fault the roast dinner but afternoon tea was a total let down. I won’t be returning for afternoon tea again ever. But dinner yes.Sunday 14th August 2022
Peter Lloyd1 StarLovely old pub but food not good
Maybe homemade but definitely not on day
My vegetarian lasagne was ok but cheese topping could have been used as leather for shoes
My partners chicken curry was a joke
Fortunately we live in south west London and won’t have to revisit
Barman was friendly
Chef was rubbish
Hey ho such is life
