The location of this pub is great, very easy to get to and plenty of parking around the area. We ordered a table, but when we arrived they were a bit disorganised and we ended up with a pretty rubbish table near the door and without much space, we had taken our 2 year son with us too which made it more difficult. The food looked great on arrival, but it was very salty and despite mentioning this there was no response from the staff, so left quite disappointed in the overall experience. Could be better is the tag line.

Lovely place for lunch or dine in, or just for a drink and snack. Good food, very friendly and warm atmosphere.

Really disappointed with the service provided and overall experience. We had booked for dinner & drinks and on arrival asked to sit outside as it was a nice summer evening. The host, who had initially ignored us was hesitant and stated that it wasn’t possible (despite the restaurant being less busy than we’ve seen it). On seating us we had to order via QR code, and to be fair the drinks came pretty swiftly. However, having to order via the QR and sat in an empty restaurant with no input or attention from staff, we decided to have dinner elsewhere. Having had many good nights in the past, I know the tram at The Boat can do better.

It is a beautiful location looking over the canal and well designed. Being able to order on your phone is nice too. However, unfortunately the food and drink are just not good. We tried multiple cocktails, none tasted good (not even classics like a mojito). When we had Sunday roasts the chicken was pink. I'd recommend ordering vegetarian meals and drinks that cant be "messed up" to enjoy the nice location.
