If I could put zero stars, I would. Made to feel like an inconvenience from the moment we walked in, despite having booked a table for the carvery in advance as they were the nearest pub to our holiday park. Was "shown" to a table and then completely ignored whilst customers who arrived after us were served. Obviously the man acting as a waiter and the chap acting as the barman were out of their depth, so after 15 minutes or so of being treated like the invisible family, we got up and left....quickly sidestepping the tins of paint next to the door! Went straight to The Crown in the next village and were treated like absolute royalty......will never go to The Bull again, that's for sure.

Had Sunday carvery 19/6. Superb value for money and good quality. Meat was lovely and moist. Good choice of vegetables that were for us were well cooked to our taste (perhaps less so if you like yours crunchy). First course was large but couldn't resist enjoying a lovely home made rhubarb crumble and custard. Everything was kept topped up with fresh vegetables just before you were called up to be served. Not at all rushed. Do support them! Our rating of 5 stars is based on its value for money in addition to it delivering the quality you expect from a pub carvery meal as opposed to a Michelin starred restaurant.

What a dump, said it was open at 11am arrived at 1pm, closed as closed can be, saw 2 workmen go in through a side door, popped my head in to be greeted by a surly lady who informed me that the pub was closed due to lack of customers. Well....duh...if you're shut you aren't going to get customers. Big aggressive bull mastiff roaming the bar, i used to have an English mastiff, so I'm not scared of big dogs, but i would'nt bring my children here. Dark dingy, rude owner, dated decor. Didn't even eat here, However, judging by the other reviews we had a lucky escape.

Lovely little place to stop and have lunch. I remember visiting many years ago and am really happy to see the pub is still in business. I had the Chicken Schnitzel club sandwich and my partner had the Prawn Marie Rose baguette. Both meals looked smelled and tasted absolutely wonderful. The staff are friendly and the ambience is lovely. Keep up the good work. --Tim
