The Bull's Head is a traditional village pub dating back to 1627.  So when King Charles marched past Clipston on his way to the Battle of Naseby, The Bull's Head had been built just a few years before (He would have been well advised to stop off here and go no further!). With such an abundance of beautiful, wholesome produce found in the fields and gardens of Leicestershire, we make sure our kitchen uses local suppliers on a daily basis to bring you the best and freshest of all the seasonal offerings. The Bulls Head combines modern cooking techniques with traditional pub fayre to conclude with a menu that features both traditional pub favourites as well as elegant modern classics. Clipston is a small picturesque village in Northamptonshire, England, just south of Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Located approximately three miles from the town of Market Harborough, and very near to Naseby, the site of the Battle of Naseby that took place in 1645.

That was, without a doubt, one of the best burgers I have eaten. Porky’s Revenge! But it’s not just the food, the ambience and everything about the place is warm & friendly. Clearly popular with the locals for a drink as well as the food. A hidden gem!

What lovely, friendly staff. As for the homemade pies, they were delicious and well worth the wait while they were cooked for us. Would definitely go back.

First time visit and absolutely superb! Met an old school friend for dinner, and we both had the pork, sausagemeat, apple and sage pie (it was pie night). The pastry was light, the pie was huge and stuffed to the brim, the vegetables perfectly cooked and the chips crisp. At to that a comfy, warm and friendly atmosphere and attentive and welcoming staff, and you have a recipe for a perfect night out. Highly recommended - we will be back!
