John Lacey5 StarShop local, shop often: The Coffee Kitchen Bakery encapsulates this ideal better than most with its no nonsense product quality coupled with friendly service. Excellent sourdough bread, proper fresh sandwich rolls and a decent cup of coffee along with authentic locally produced cake, they even set up a seat and table outside so we could sit and enjoy a late sandwich lunch with a view of the old Cockermouth Market. The type of place that small towns need, well worth patronising.Friday 10th March 2023
Graham Mann5 StarCame across this bakery today when out exploring Cockermouth and were attracted by the wonderful smell of bread baking on the premises. Delicious filled rolls and cakes which we ate outside with a cup of tea. Smashing service, excellent food and drink and a lovely setting to enjoy our lunch. Definitely recommend! Just a shame we are on holiday otherwise would use weekly for bread.Wednesday 24th August 2022

Janet Lacey5 StarThis bakery has brought a weekly smile to my face during lockdown. The quality of their bread is consistently high, tasty, flavoursome & a great texture. Expensive? - good ingredients & slower processes cost more than bread that’s full of air & nasty additives. The bread freezes well so good for slicing, & freezing.
