Fantastic family meal at the newly refurbished restaurant. Two lots of Chateaubriand which was cooked to perfection IMO, we asked for medium rare 👌 also had one pasta dish which was also lovely. Deserts were also good, good sized portions and priced well. Off road parking and it looks like they are doing a nice out side area for the summer, I think. Service was great too! Highly recommended and will be returning for another Chateaubriand in the near future 😋

Popped by on our way home from Milton Keynes to get some lunch, and was initially worried when we realised it was a Sunday and we hadn't booked in advance. It was actually fine and we could sit in the bar side and still get food, so that was great. We got the sharing roast which was gigantic and great value for money, we couldn't finish it all despite our best efforts. The pork belly was the highlight and if we're ever back up this way on a Sunday, I'd definitely go for a full pork belly roast. Staff were friendly and attentive, toilets were clean, and as with many countryside pubs, The Dolphin is dog friendly - we enjoyed fussing a couple of dogs on the table next to us (with owner's permission).

Date night meal with the other half thought we'd try somewhere new and we were not dissapointed! Food was excellent! Highy recommend the scotch egg to start and the duck as main - absolutely delicious. Our waitress was fab! (Think her name was Poppy apologies if thats wrong!) All in all great evening and thoroughly enjoyed - next on our list to try the sunday roast!

I came here today for Sunday lunch with my three grown up children because tomorrow is my birthday. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked, the taste, the quality of the ingredients and the presentation was outstanding. We had drinks, starters, main courses, desserts and coffees - everything was faultless. I have not enjoyed a roast dinner this much for as long as I can remember. The pub and restaurant are beautifully decorated and furnished making this afternoon a first class dining experience and very special occasion for myself and my family. Thank you :)

We visited the pub on the way home from my daughters photo exhibition for the end of term, where she had a photo on display and sopped for a celebratory drink. First visit since the pubs makeover and were very impressed by the new decor, both inside and out. We received excellent friendly service and look forward to our next visit!
