Nursery Status – OFSTED

The Farningham Day Nursery is a participant in the Kent Early Years plan and is registered to accept funding for eligible two, three and four year olds. The nursery was last inspected by OFSTED in October 2019 and graded Good in all areas.

We are delighted to quote the following from the inspector’s summary:

Staff know children and families well and the parent partnership is strong. The curriculum is varied and the staff plan activities following children’s interests, this ensures that children enjoy learning and make good progress towards their next steps.

Staff recognise and value the children as individuals.

During mealtimes staff and children talk about the importance of healthy eating. Staff encourage children to try all the different foods. Parents report that their children continue asking for favourite dishes even after leaving the setting.

Staff and managers give high priority to safeguarding, this helps them to ensure that children remain safe and secure at the setting.

The manager follows rigorous recruitment procedures to ensure all staff are suitable for the role.
