The bungalow pub as it's so recognised now, has been through many transformations but is holding steady as a friendly and simple pub offering food & ideal to stop off for refreshments. A garden area and covered front seating area allows you to watch the traffic go by. The cheesy chips always win me over!

What a lovely pub! Superb home cooked food. Huge portions! Liver and bacon was absolutely delicious. My daughter had the chicken burger which was amazing. She normally eats main course and pudding, but couldn't finish main course as so big. Having said all that, the icing on the cake for us was when the lovely landlord came out with a huge plate of ham for our dog! So very kind and thoughtful. Think our dog was pretty impressed too! Thank you so much.

not impressed came for meal because heard so much good about the food but this was slop on a plate literally felt like i was back in school the way it was presented but the lady behind the bar told me the chef went on holiday and did not return maybe i would ask if they have a chef before eating here will not be returning unfortunately. for some reason as seen the response below the owner seems to believe i am an ex employee i would find that very difficult as it would be a 6 hour commute each way and unfortunately hospitality is not my line of work so after reviewing all of your reviews on google and other social media it really is clear cut that you guys cannot at all take any form of negativity and really should not be running a pub full stop.

Came up to the Forest Inn with my grandson and the fish n chips there is to die for, best fish n chips I’ve had for a long time. Staff and Landlords are lovely and the food has great portion sizes and great prices too! Definitely will be coming back again!
