Stayed here for one night on a Saturday night in November 2009. Everything is spot on - from the website with it's clear layout and pricing also the availability checker , through to everything about the stay. it's a lovely guesthouse with beautiful , spotless, well equipped rooms - I have stayed in large hotels with smaller and less pleasant bedrooms. Room was spacious and attractive with all the amenities you could want including a Humax freeview television. The bathroom was roomy and very beautiful. Breakfast was very tasty in a lovely dinning room. Service was also very good indeed and the welcome information in the room is top drawer with suggestions of places to eat and even menus from some of the establishments mentioned. This is so typical of the attention to detail the owners display. This is a business that deserves to do very well indeed as they put so much in and get everything spot on - indeed a rarity in these days. I will stay again Stayed November 2009, travelled solo

Gables is a clean, well decked and friendly guest house, which I would use again any-time. The room was warm, fully fit for purpose and the bed was comfortable. Moreover there were many useful little things (alarm clock, earplugs, rolled napkin) around that make that difference. The service at breakfast was friendly and efficient, furthermore, with fresh fruit, cereals and a full range of hot food (including Eggs Benedict), was a great start to the day. Parking is very adequate and access / egress is reasonable even during peak periods

I had a lovely time at the The Gables Guest House in Lincoln this weekend :) It was recommended by an old college friend who I was meeting in Lincoln as she had stayed there before, so I chose the single en-suite. The room was spacious and clean, nicely decorated and I had a great nights sleep in the comfy bed. David and Hilary were very welcoming and helped me navigate into the city centre. Breakfast was delicious and definitely set me up for a long day of shopping around the nice boutiques they have. I found that this b&b was a lot nicer and more friendly than even ones I've been to around London! Thank you very much and highly recommended. Lily x

Gables Guest House is the best place we have stayed - bar none. The comfort,attention to detail and fantastically well cooked breakfasts all add up to a perfect,relaxing stay. We have visited four times now and each time we have found the same very high standards. The only problem is when we stay somewhere else we are always disappointed...................

My Wife and I had a very pleasant stay at the Gables. We found our room to be well furnished and very clean, the breakfasts excellent and our hosts very hospitable. We would have no hesitation in recommending The Gables to anyone wishing to stay in the Lincoln area.
