Lee Rielly2 StarAlways enjoyed a meal at the galloping horse however today’s lunch wasn’t very enjoyable and it was expensive for what we wanted.
For some reason sandwiches are no longer offered at lunchtime which forces you to order from the main menu, we got the closest things to a sandwich (Philly cheese steak ciabatta and southern fried chicken burger) each being around £15!
Despite asking for my Philly cheese sandwich to come without mustard (and peppers but apparently “they come in the mix” so I had to live with them), it came covered in mustard but we had waited long enough so I didn’t bother sending it back and just ate around it, it was just a bit of a sloppy mess on soggy bread unfortunately - the chips were nice though!
I’m not sure what’s changed here; whether it’s the chef or ownership etc. but I don’t think I’ll be rushing back anytime soon.Wednesday 15th June 2022
