TARDIS of a pub! Looks small from the front but has had a few extensions in the 400 years it's been there. Extensive beer garden with 3 little chalet style shelters seating 8-12 each. Friendly owner and staff, chatted with me a while about the building. Beer was good, food was excellent! Ordered a rump steak, they were out so I got upgraded to sirloin for no extra. Reasonable prices too. Something to look out for and see if you can spot... Just for fun. In the conservatory/dining room there are five posters with famous food related quotes on them. One of them has a spelling mistake! Why not pop into the pub, order a meal and maybe have a drink or two and see if you can find it! Even if you can't I'm sure you'll enjoy your visit.

I was passing through today and stopped in for a pint and something to eat. £5.15 a pint of Morretti, £12.95 for ale battered fish and chips. The food was really nice, but sadly very small portions. I had 10 chips!! This is the amount I'd expect in a kids meal, not an adults meal. Lovely pub, friendly staff... but I personally feel there wasn't enough chips with the meal. I left here and stopped somewhere else for a proper meal as I was still hungry. My friend had roast beef with all the trimmings and that was a decent (normal) sized meal. I wish I had that.

Greyhound Public House Sawston: This pub has had a revamp since l last visited many years ago. It has still managed to retain its local pub atmosphere It has a good solid menu at a reasonable price. The decor and seating area has been enlarged and is bright. Plenty of parking and disabled access us not too onerous. Good selection of beers at the pumps is reasonable

We held the wake of our loved one here. Prearrangements were smooth and all clear at a time when many things need planning. The food was fantastic, constantly replenished with the staff being thoughtful throughout. Recommended. Thank you.

Good real ale choice (post covid) 3 of 5 pumps in service. A locals pub, but hey ho they're fine.
