I’ll start by saying the food was absolutely amazing, all the staff were lovely and the location is great. Unfortunately the room and bathroom were not very clean. The shower did not work properly- it was like a dribble. The room was a bit of a let down considering the photos they have on their site but I guess you get what you pay for! It’s fine for a few nights but would not chose to stay here for longer than that.

We stayed for 1 night and i am so glad i chose to ignore reviews. We had a lovely room overlooking the beach and the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The dog got his sausage for breakfast too! Food was so filling we struggled to finish it. Will definitely return here again.

This was really a wonderful hotel to stay at. We had 2 nights, 3 days with our little dog in tow, and it was so good. The breakfast included with the price was lovely, and a really nice relaxing environment. The entire hotel is very clean and tidy, really nice decor . Our room was perfect, clean, tidy, well decorated and the bed was so comfy. Not cold in the evenings at all. The ensuite was great, as was the shower. A nice TV in the bedroom too, with tea and coffee provided. Meals are available but we opted for exploring other local restaurants for lunch and dinner. I really would recommend this hotel and the wonderful staff that run it. We are definitely going back with our little dog. The beach is literally opposite the hotel, and it's a wonderful stretch of beach too. I would have given a 5 star rating if not for 1 thing . There is nothing to remind residents that allowing their door to slam shut all night and I the very early hours of the morning will be heard by everyone throught the building ,,, which may be the reason so many other guests are ignorant enough to not care about the colossal bang that wakes everyone up....repetitively. Other than that,, we really can't wait to return . ( the price was great too ).

Best value Sunday lunch I've ever purchased in the UK. Three generous courses of top quality food, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented in a traditional English style. The topside roast beef in particular was perfection. An absolute bargain and worthy of strong consideration whether you are residing in the hotel or not. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a lovely weekend at The Kensington. The location is perfect, we actually didn't use the car all weekend. Parked it in the hotel car park and walked locally. Beautiful beach areas and the waterways/gardens are beautiful. We sampled a few of the local cafes & snack bars & all really lovely, friendly & welcoming. The team at The Kensington are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is uptrend quiter end so it was peaceful but easy to walk to the bright lights. The food is fab. We loved sitting outside eating our breakfast, we were very lucky as it was a beautiful, sunny weekend. We would definitely go back.
