We spent a lovely 2 nights here. We wish it could have been longer. We stayed in one of the garden rooms. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely shower room. Fluffy towels. Tea, coffee, biscuits, bottles of water were replenished every day. Staff were very kind, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was really good. 👌

Unfortunately I'd thought I'd booked a room in the feathers and was informed I would be staying down the road in these "newly renovated" rooms I'd booked a deluxe king room, it was a surprise for my partners birthday As we entered the room we were both shocked as it was incredibly small, had low ceilings and instead of a king bed it was two singles pushed together The bathroom was tiny with a loo, a shower and a sink, it was ground floor I knew this couldn't be right so I went and spoke to the staff members back down the road at the feathers The staff member, Libby was really lovely, so understanding and helpful and said that some people hadn't turned up yet so we could swap rooms with them We made it to the new room which was way more up to standard and at least had a double bed in, and headed out for the evening We arrived back to find out our toilet was struggling to flush and the handle had completely come out and was twisted in the wrong direction We called the feathers and a lady came walking up the road to help us She was very good but could unfortunately not flush it Then the manager came back and tried to fix it but he had no luck He returned again but had no luck in fixing it and said after some negotiation he would give us a refund This special birthday weekend turned into an awful experience I thought I'd booked the best hotel in Holt but we got chucked down the road

Spent two nights in the Lawns Hotel for our anniversary. The room was large, and reasonably well furnished and clean. The on suite bathroom was large with a bath and bath tap shower but no screen or curtain to contain the spray if you preferred a shower. The room was on the top floor which was accessed via two very narrow staircases which made carrying the case to the room a bit of a task. The food was well cooked and we'll presented but there was a very limited dinner menu. The breakfast was good with a better choice than the dinner menu. The hotel has a car park that fills up quickly, so a space cannot be guaranteed. Our experience was that other carpark users took up a lot of room leaving an already small car park bereft of enough room for other users (not to he hotels fault). The staff were friendly and helpful. In all, a nice hotel for a short stay.

Great location and rooms are spacious and nice. Breakfast served at 8am which is inconvenient for most business people but they are helpful if you ask for cereal and milk the night before. They have an iron board and iron and shoe polish etc so quite useful service

Stayed for two nights. Our room (8) was nice. Knew beforehand there was no standing shower but it would still be good to fit a screen at least as washing was tricky! Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was good, nice portions to set you up for the day. Would recommend to anybody looking for a base to explore north Norfolk.
