I am so pleased we found this wonderful pub. We’ve just had the most amazing meals ever!! Sometimes when you go out in a group a person finds their meal isn’t quite right but tonight, this pub nailed all of our meals!! The fillet steak was cooked to perfection, the vegetables were delicious and the crispy onions were beautifully crisp!! No sign of grease as all. The minted lamb steak was superb and the shoulder of lamb was delicious too. The vegetable fritters were very crispy & tasty. Honestly, I was impressed!!!! Lovely friendly staff as well as food & wonderfully clean toilets. Seriously, best of luck to you guys, you deserve great praise. See you next year!! ☺️☺️

Lovely setting, this country village pub is charming, welcoming, friendly and has rooms to stay in. Went for a quick lunch, had a little difficulty driving through narrow country roads, we were lucky there were no tractors coming the opposite way to us. We had a lovely lunch and drinks, very impressive home cooked ham, thickly cut, just how I like it. I found the landlady, Sharon, a very professional and friendly lady, obviously in charge of a very happy team. The staff were very accommodating, helpful, efficient and friendly. It was a lovely but short visit and happily recommend this lovely country pub. Thank you Sharon and team.

We stayed at this lovely pub for two nights. We had a very warm welcome, the owners and staff genuinely enjoy what they do. The food is delicious; freshly cooked with some homegrown produce. The pub is in a beautiful, quiet setting. We will be returning!

We had Sunday lunch in this quaint little pub and restaurant three weeks ago for mums Birthday and yet again were not at all disappointed. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and nothing seems too much trouble, they are so helpful and friendly. There were five of us and we had starters, main courses and a couple of puddings and no-one could find fault with a single thing, beautiful food, nice and hot, freshly cooked, lovely local meat, absolutely nothing not to like. We have taken friends here before whilst visiting mum and dad in Dorset and it's been superb each time. We will be back!

To all vegetarians out there, I thoroughly recommend this pub which is slightly off the beaten track. I had an aubergine dish that was amazing - washed down with some Dorset Orchard Haze. Really friendly staff to boot. Nice outdoor play area for children.
