The Old Station House Bed and Breakfast is one of the closest B&Bs to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell, three of the area's most popular attractions. We are located in the picturesque village of Rowsley, with a pub and two upmarket restaurants within a five minute walk. With plenty of off road parking and secure bicycle storage on the property our family run B&B is your perfect base for exploring the Peak District National Park.

The Old Station House is so close to Chatsworth House that you can walk to the estate along the beautiful Derwent Valley Heritage Way in just over half an hour, along an easy flat trail through the beautiful Peak District National Park.
Other local footpaths lead to Haddon Hall, Bakewell and Matlock Bath, while Peak Rail steam trains run from Rowsley South station to Matlock at weekends. Our information pack has details of all local walks and we have plenty of guidebooks and maps to help you explore further afield.

We had a warm welcome from our hostess who was able to give us comprehensive information about the area, restaurants, walks and places to visit.
Although the rooms are small they are well equipped and comfortable. Everything is very clean and the power shower worked well. Vicky has taken the trouble to provide the rooms with all the necessities including good tea and coffee making supplies, hairdryers and an electric heater.
The breakfast is freshly prepared with an excellent choice of food, all of which is of good quality and the portions are very generous.
The Old Station House is situated close to a main road but at night time it is not unduly noisy and the windows are double glazed. The village position means that it is excellent for a relaxing stay with restaurants and and country walks very close by so that things are accessible on foot.
