Nice friendly atmosphere, children and dogs more than welcome. We've been a few times now and the food has always been spot on. They tend to do a set 2 or 3 course menu on special occasions such as Mothers day which I find very reasonably priced. Unfortunately nothing good lasts for ever as we've just found out the current landlord/lady are due to leave in December. I certainly recommend paying a visit before they do as I can't imagine how it will be run aswell once they have gone😫.

Disappointed it was first time for us 4 . Had starters ,soup and garlic mushrooms were good scarce servings on prawn scampi in batter though! All had roast beef but really had better. Gravy very thick and meat tough…2 had meat cooked more due to pink beef …2 had pink Beef… But whichever way it was cooked it was thick and bit tough…mashed potatoes were far too buttery ..not for us we all said well we’ve had better! Thought it expensive for what we had. Pleasant pub good staff but won’t return.

Exceptional! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! The service from the manageress and the bar staff was second to none; really friendly, chatty and knowledgeable. They even let us try different pale ales and red wines to choose our drinks. The food was the best I've had anywhere, steak night is definitely worth it. Well worth the price tag, would happily pay for this experience many more times. My starter was Salt & Pepper chicken, kick of Chilli was amazing with sesame and scally onions. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of my steak and the lamb shank because we were so keen to eat it, both were delicious, fresh and cooked to perfection. All the food was piping hot and stayed hot throughout the meal, a real sign of class. The beer is reasonably priced being a bar-restaurant. I haven't been since 2019, obviously circumstances dictated, but I definitely won't be leaving it so long to come in again. Thank you very much The Park!

If there was a 0 star rating that would be what I rated it but just round the corner is the Hyndburn Bridge with amazing food. Definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to go to the park there is a much better option just round the corner!!!!
