Excellent all round. Booked due to location and turned out to be a great choice. Lovely location, excellent dinner and breakfast. Great service. Room small, but very comfortable and a bargain. Close enough to the river for a swim before breakfast. Would definitely recommend and will be looking for an excuse to stay again.

Came here for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed, friendly welcoming staff, and nicely decorated pub with lovely outdoor space. Order came out quickly and was very tasty, meat was delicious and cooked to perfection and cauliflour cheese was yummy too, I just could have done with slightly more gravy and the roast potatoes could have had 5 more minutes in my opinion. Pudding was also delicious. Booking is advised and not much parking around if you are driving but that wouldn't stop us returning.

What a great find! Just what we needed after a day canoeing... Real ale in the beautiful garden (comfy outdoor sofa was v welcome), a stroll around the gorgeous village, pre-dinner cocktails, a delicious meal. The room was clean and pretty with a comfy bed. Breakfast (after a refreshing river dip) was one of the best we've had at a hotel. Great service, location and attention to detail. We also visited Kelmscott Manor (open Thurs-Sat), which was wonderful. ❤️

To any future Thames River walkers: Rooms are well presented and spotless. We interacted with all the staff and they where both attentive and respectful of our privacy. A tough balance to execute! The food was excellent. The pork roast was well portioned and they also where happy to give a Yorkshire pudding on the side! The word "lashings" is often misused. The sticky toffee pudding came with lashings of toffee sauce. Truly a highlight of the meal. White wine was cold (NZ Marlborough) and the ale, a local hazy point called the village idiot, was served in a glass with a handle. All in all, a truly excellent place to stop. Highly recommended!
