Situated in the heart of Burford, The Priory is housed in a beautiful building dating back to the 17th century.  We are unique in having a charming and picturesque garden to the rear.  We pride ourselves on our delicious menu of home-cooked food at affordable prices, excellent service and a warm and friendly atmosphere.

Open 7 days a week, we serve all-day breakfasts, lunch and cream teas. Our extensive menu includes farmhouse sandwiches, baked potatoes, burgers, cakes and ice creams.  We are fully licensed and welcome children. We also have five guest bedrooms for those wishing to stay and explore the Cotswolds.

Cajun burger and latte were superb. Nice small place so when it's busy IT'S BUSY! Price was a bit expensive but this must have been the first time I paid for something I was hesitant about and actually LOVED the food and was FULL! Service was nice and polite but sometimes people in the area can be snotty which brought the atmosphere down (since we had a 1 year old and they through looks our way), other than that, we'll visit again!

This place holds two records with me following my first visit for breakfast. This is the most expensive place I have ever eaten breakfast at but the second award is for the best tasting breakfast I have ever had. Full English for two (with 2 hot drinks) was a few pence short of £30. The coffee tasted lovely and the breakfast was simply amazing. Staff are friendly and polite. I have every confidence that the price is on par with other similar places in the area so not something I am marking it down on. The food was incredible and I wouldnt hesitate to return again (having saved up) for another top quality breakfast. Highly recommended.

Stopped for lunch on way through. Nice place to break our journey. Sat outside as weather was good. Enjoyed our all day breakfast and the pot of tea lasted 3 rounds. Lovely little town too. Would recommend.

Today myself and my husband visited Burford and decided to treat ourselves to a cream tea. We sat outside as we had our very well behaved dog with us, placed our order and when it came it looked amazing.... But within seconds we had about 8 to 10 wasps all over the food, took it inside and asked if we could sit in with our dog, was told no ( although there was a lady with her dog at the till and no one else in side) So we had no choice but to leave with no tea and scone and no apology or refund on offer. Not great service, we walked 2mins up the hill to find more afternoon tea offers who do except dogs ( well done to them 👏 👍 😀 Priory please re evaluate and be a little more understand as u said u knew u had a wasp problem.
